Flak Cannons are set to PD mode by default, automatically firing at incoming missiles. Despite their poor raw power, Flak is useful against multiple incoming launched projectiles because of the large splash radius. Additionally, Flak Cannons are accurate with fast projectiles, and are well suited for defensive roles.
